Silencing the Guns
Early June: salmon fishing season has just opened on the majestic Nabessipi River. On a deserted beach, a biologist named Jean-Pierre is studying marine mammals when he catches sight of a capsized fishing boat offshore. He alerts the Native police force. Some days later the corpse of a young Indian is discovered. Six days later, another gruesome discovery: a second corpse is found. The police announces that both men were victims of accidental drownings, yet neither was found to have any water in his lungs… With the help from some friends, Jean-Pierre sets out to expose the truth. From this search for truth may come justice… or at least some ray of hope.
